The collaboration between Sandra and Alfredo finds its common ground in editorial design and additive manufacturing. Conceived as a laboratory for exploring formal and conceptual possibilities, it offers a contemporary perspective on the world of publishing. The result is at once a book, a sculpture, and a work of art: a piece situated at the border between art and design.

Cumulus au zénith explores how to translate the cloud into a pictorial motif. Through experimentation and the layering of translucent plastic sheets of varying thicknesses and colors, the work reproduces traditional pictorial glazing, thereby reconstructing the visual appearance of clouds. A case completes the piece — featuring cartographic relief and a ribbed surface — protecting the body, which opens like an altarpiece. The work emerges from the observation of Lyon's skies, where these same ever-changing skies connect with the French pictorial tradition.
